The 1980s was filled with a plethora of stars in Southern California racing, and this star equine owned the last part of the decade.

He was as consistent as they come, never finishing worse than second in any of his fourteen career starts. Along the way, he authored one of most memorable performances in Santa Anita Derby history, became a dual classic winner, and gave his illustrious trainer a chance at the sport's biggest prize. And after retirement, he would become a rock star as a stallion in the Far East.

Before he even became part of a post parade, Sunday Silence was meant to become one of Thoroughbred racing's true legends.
